Have Windows XP, and I am trying to scan in a drawing into Paint so as to open it up and save as a jpeg file then download to a canned website builder. Anyway, I keep getting a message saying" there was an error reading the file from the media" I'd be lying if I said I understand much of this. Myrddin Posted March 15, 2009 Share Posted March 15, 2009 Moved to Troubleshooting & Bug Reports Does your scanner support Windows Image Acquisition 2.0 (WIA) (or said to be TWAIN compatible)? Also, have you tried scanning internally through Paint.NET, i.e., via File > Acquire > From Scanner or Camera?
