With multiple layers, normal paste is not working with new update it seems

Hi!

Have used paint.net for years, and had no problems with copy and paste, no matter how many layers I've had.  I'm finding out, possibly from the new update 5.0.11 (Stable 5.11.8685.3093), that paste is going 'behind' the existing objects in a layer.  And if I do NOT have multiple layers defined, it paste into the one layer like normal (over top of the existing objects). Hopefully the attached photo will help explain it without question.

You have the background layer selected, that's where your pasted graphic is going.  You can't see it because it is being covered by an image above it in the layers list.
