Toad51 Posted July 23, 2023 Posted July 23, 2023 (edited) Hey, is there an possibility to change the order of the tools? When yes is it also possible to add some tools e.g. from the effects tab? I think that would be a great thing to have this option to change the tools order if it's not possible yet. Edited July 23, 2023 by Toad51 Quote

However, you can always click on the menu: 18 minutes ago, Toad51 said: is it also possible to add some tools e.g. from the effects tab? Not possible. Effects are not tools and there is such thing as a tool plugin. 18 minutes ago, Toad51 said: I think that would be a great thing to have this option to change the tools if it's not possible yet. What would you change them to? 1 Quote Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and a Free Computer Dominos Game
Tactilis Posted July 24, 2023 Posted July 24, 2023 It doesn't really matter* what the order of the tools is because you can access them all with just one (or a couple) of keypresses. The shortcut keys are shown in the tooltip that appears when you hover over a tool and are also described in the Documentation here https://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/KeyboardMouseCommands.html#3 * Apart from placing them in functional groups, which they are; i.e Selection tools together, Move tools together, Pan & zoom..., Painting/drawing tools..., Text/line/shapes...) If you train your mind and fingers to associate the shortcut keypresses with the tools rather than use the mouse then you will get much faster at using paint.net Quote
