JayNB112
Hello. I tried to install Paint.Net on a New PC that I got (because my old PC was Windows 8.1), But my system operation was Windows 10 Version 20H2, and it's says I need a Windows 11, but I found that Windows 11 is very too expensive, Here is a screenshot I made. It is revealed that Windows 10 Version 20H2 is a older version of Windows 10, because It was released in 2020. Paint.Net was installed on my old PC and there's was no errors in all. But now, When I got new PC, It's says that Paint.Net can't be installed on Windows 10 Version 20H2. Then I tried to download NET. Framework to fix this error, but it's says that it's can't be install on Windows 10 Version 20H2, because it's old version. What Paint.NET version is for Windows 10 Version 20H2? It's say that Paint.NET V.4.0.3 for Windows 10 Verison 20H2.
Rick Brewster
First, make sure you're installing the latest version -- 4.0.3 is VERY old (9 years!!!), will have a lot of bugs that have been fixed in the meantime, and we cannot provide any support for it. The current version is 5.0.2. I've seen this happen when you use older software to launch the installer -- like a different shell (Explorer replacement), or maybe an old ZIP/archive program. Sometimes those older programs get configured for Vista/7 compatibility mode, and this flows into the apps they launch as well. JayNB112
So that means that Paint.Net is not for Windows 10 Version 20H2 and other versions won't work? EDIT: I used paint.net V.4.0.19, but it's okay. Edited March 21 by JayNB112
Rick Brewster
That's not even remotely close to what I said. You want Paint.NET v5.0.2.
