pilotwritergeorge
I set up a new canvas size at 10 x 8 inches. I then opened an image that is 2.54 x 3.54 inches. I copied the image, then tried to add it to my new canvas. Paint then changed the image size to 10 x 8, and the canvas to 3.54 x 2.54. How to I lock the canvas at my setting, and not allow the program to alter the image size? I have added images smaller than the canvas before, and never had this problem. This is strange! Solution ardneh Posted March 27, 2022 Solution Share Posted March 27, 2022 Is it possible that the 2.54 x 3.54 inch image has a higher DPI than the standard paint.net images have? What is the size of the 2.54 x 3.54 inch image in pixels?
pilotwritergeorge
You hit the nail on the head! The canvas was set to 96 dpi, and the image was at 300 dpi. I set both at 300, and wallah! it works as I expected it to. THANK YOU!
