Kitty Flynn
I saw that this topic came up on this discussion and am finding that I am now having this problem after the last update (which I performed on October 23rd). I saved a pdn file to my desktop and a pdn.0Save file shows up. It can't be deleted (gives an error message that it isn't there). Here's what I'm using, just tell me if you need anything else: Windows 10 Pro x64 Paint.net 4.214.7601.39231
Rick Brewster
Does it still stick around if you click on the desktop and then press F5 (Refresh) ? Sometimes Explorer just doesn't notice the file being deleted by PDN Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html

Sometimes Explorer just doesn't notice the file being deleted by PDN The refresh does make the file disappear, as does restarting the computer. Merely going into the pdn file and saving doesn't make the file appear, either. A change has to be made (new layer, etc.). I'd say this fixes the problem, but refreshing my desktop every time I am finished with a new file doesn't quite qualify as a fix. Rick Brewster
Oh I didn't claim it was a fix, merely that it's (thankfully) superficial. I'm going to see if I can do something about it for 4.2.15. I have an idea... but I can't make any promises, as it's up to Windows whether it will behave properly. 1 Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
