Nick Repins
Hi ! I saw many people (including me) were confused by how selection works and they were comparing it to the MS Paint, for being able to select every pixels except transparent (by default, white) pixels there. I came here with a simple solution. Blending. Why not to use blending option for an active selection of pixels with the current layer, just like between Layers? No Wand Tool would be needed for that. Think of possibilities and how would the work faster. If it is too hard to achieve, the selecting engine could be simplified just by treating the selected canvas buffer as a temporary created layer between, with ability to move pixels around. Cheers. Rick Brewster
No. Just use layers. That's what they're for. This is never going to happen. This discussion has been had several times. Quote Think of possibilities and how would the work faster. No. This is completely, 100% wrong. MSPaint is not the example to follow here. Do you still ride a tricycle as an adult? Of course not. 1 The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
