Stefán Örvar Sigmundsson
How do I move a selection a certain number of pixels in a given direction?
Rick Brewster
If it's a relatively small distance, just use the Move Selected Pixels tool (selection w/ its contents) or the Move Selection tool (just the selection) and then press the arrow keys to nudge it around. Hold Ctrl to move by 10 pixels at a time. Damjan
It's not a big deal but sometimes I need to be precise with my drawings, e.g. move selection exactly 256 pixels to the bottom or rotate exactly 36 degrees clockwise. Guidelines aren't supported yet so what I do now is look at the current coordinates, use a calculator to calculate the new ones, move with the move tool and nudge with the arrow keys when I'm close. An option in the edit menu would be nice.
Juxxec
I am also interested in this feature. A dialog like the one for the colors, that allows you to manually specify the numbers for the transformations - translate, rotate, scale would be nice to have. Tactilis
Hi @Juxxec welcome to the forum. Before posting again, please take a moment to read the Forum Rules; there's a link at the top and bottom of every page. Note them all and in particular #11.
