weekender410
Greetings, I've been getting the message that there's an update to install but when I try to install it the following message pops up. Screenshot - 2_24_2018 , 7_28_49 AM Clicking OK doesn't resolve it and Cancel results ina "Fatal error" message. I'm running Win 10 Version 1709 Do I need to find and manually add 1847312698.msi to \paint.net\Staging? If it matters, I've also downloaded the file from DotPDN directly and tried updating with it. Suggestions?
toe_head2001
Your current paint.net installation is broken. You can use this utility to remove the broken installation: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/17588/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed Afterwards, you can install paint.net anew. weekender410
Thank you. So uninstalling the existing version of Paint.NET allowed installation of the new version. Curious but it's solved. Thank you both for your help. Dave
