Sabrael Carroll
I'm a newcomer to the Paint.NET universe. I was trying to load up a .ai file and found that Paint.NET doesn't support it. I tried running a search for a plug-in, but couldn't find anything myself. So is there something I missed in my search for a plug-in to help .ai support, or will I be forced to get a copy of Photoshop? (Any other programs that may let me open the file would be useful as well).
Rick Brewster
Nope, sorry, Paint.NET doesn't support Illustrator files. It's not well suited for them, honestly. There's another free program that people recommend, although the name escapes me. InkScape, I think? david.atwell
"Inkscape" is the name, yes. :-) Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. Sabrael Carroll
Much appreciation! Inkscape worked fine enough for me to open the files, and get what I needed out of them. Thanks.
