ThomsonT Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 Paint.net supports high DPI (<dpiAware>true</dpiAware), but it seems the cursor images are embedded as bitmap (like PaintDotNet.Cursors.LassoSelectToolCursor.cur) which doesn't scale nicely with high DPI (DPI is 144 on Surface Pro 4), which leads to deformed mouse cursor after select most of the tools. Remove <dpiAware> make it these cursors much better, even if the whole app is a little blurred due to loss of scaling. Or could Paint.net provide separated cursor images for high DPI systems? Thanks in advance. Quote
Rick Brewster Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 The "deformed" mouse cursor should be fixed in the next update. Microsoft's latest big Windows 10 "Creators Update" broke a bunch of stuff there even though they thought they were fixing things.
