Hockeypuck
Hi there, I can't seem to unzip Paint.NET as downloaded the last couple days. AlZip keeps complaining about it being an corrupted archive. It'll unzip about 100 kB of the exe and quit on me. Any ideas?
MiguelPereira
That's a corrupt file, re-download Paint.NET installer and make sure that the file as a size around 1.6 Mb. Hockeypuck
I had redownloaded several times, and although it doesn't work in Alzip still, the Mac was able to unzip the file just fine, so I transferred it over. I'll have to look into what Alzip is doing ::shrug::
MiguelPereira
Oh... I see... Dude you are not supposed to unzip the file... just double-click on it... and run it... just that. Rick Brewster
Miguel, the files on the website are ZIP files The EXE is inside the ZIP. By the way, the EXE is digitally signed. You can verify it to ensure it isn't corrupted (or tampered with) by right clicking on it, going to Properties, then to the Digital Signatures tab, then click on dotPDN LLC in the "Signature List" and then click on Details. Then a dialog should pop up saying that "This digital signature is OK." Or, if you're in Vista, running the program will automatically verify its signature. The UAC prompt will tell you if the digital signature is invalid.
