carlo3000
During my work I have to save hundreds of images per day and for business reasons must be in jpg, but every time I have to choose it or use TAB J, there's a chance to put it as standard? Thank you Carlo
Rick Brewster
Nope. For your case I would actually recommend saving everything as PNG, and then using a batch converter to convert everything to JPEG as a 2nd stage. This has the added bonus of preserving as much fidelity as possible until you're done with everything, in case you have to re-open an image and make corrections or other changes. JPEG loses fidelity every time you open and save it. carlo3000
It's an extra step to do, anyway thanks for the information I did not know that lose quality each save. Thanks Rick!
Rick Brewster
You won't lose quality until you save and then reopen. If you save, edit, save, edit ... you'll be fine. The file you've saved into will have lower quality, but the in-memory pixels are still unchanged by that process. Until you reopen the image that is. So if you save, close, reopen and do edits, save, close, etc. you'll definitely lose lots of quality. For a humorous example of this effect (turn volume down): 2 Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
