Joekirk Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Hello, I've used Paint.net for a while and enjoyed it a lot. But now when I use the shape tools they automatically 'commit' the new shape, instead of entering the state where you draw it and can then manipulate it further. For example, starting to draw an eclipse, letting go of the button and then four 'dots' appear at the far points of it, which I could use to easily resize it as needed. It's supposed to only 'commit' the shape after you change to another tool or start making another shape yes? I got a lot of use out of this feature and now it doesn't work any more. Any help would be much appreciated, and I'm sorry if this post doesn't make much sense. I'm having trouble explaining this properly. Quote
Rick Brewster Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 There's only 1 shape tool nowadays. If you have multiple shape tools then you're on an old version, e.g. v3.5.11. The latest version is 4.0.6. 1 Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
Joekirk Posted December 18, 2015 Author Posted December 18, 2015 You're right! Man, I feel oblivious now. I must have used an older installer from deep within my downloads folder when I put paint.net back on this system. I just need to run a few updates and I should be able to install the latest version. Thank you. Quote
