Mike Ryan
When trying to open an image in Paint.NET that is available through FTP Paint.NET keeps throwing me an error saying that the Image Type Cannot be Recognized. Is it not withen Paint.NET's power to open up images located on a FTP server?
HITMAN-X-
Just tryed it with Image Fax Viewer and Paint.NET. Image Fax Viewer did not work but Paint.NET open the file right up. I think the problem may not be Paint.NEt but the way your telling the FTP to transfer the image. Your FTP should have 3 options in it, Auto, ASCII, and Binary. Set the transfer type to Auto and try again. Quote DEXTUT.COM
Mike Ryan
I have no idea how I would change that via Explorer I am actually accessing my FTP in the load box through Explorer. I will look into this some more
HITMAN-X-
ah I see. That bad, bad Mike bad boy . Your going to want a FTP program as Explorer is limited. You can't even do chmod in Explorer which is needed for things like forum software. I use the free version of smartFTP. Quote DEXTUT.COM
Mike Ryan
I use Filezilla on a normal basis, however it was my hope that I could open up images in Paint.NET from my server using Explorer without having to jump through hoops by opening Filezilla, downloading, editing, Filezilla, uploading
ncfan51
There is a Firefox extension called FireFTP that lets you do it in the Fx browser, but that's pretty useless for you, huh?
