Better idea - send the monitor to me
Yes, I wonder if it is related to PDN or if you can make a global change in your settings...
The global change doesn't affect PDNs cursors, i have mine on extra large haha
Also from a design perspective, id wait until good 4K IPS panels become cheaper. The TN panel i have now is temporary but the colour shift from bottom to top is too harsh for any serious design work.
I have the asus pb287q by the way

The mouse pointer becomes quite small on a 4K display and it is often hard to find if it is not on the canvas
A setting to changer pointer size or to change the background colour of the canvas surrounding area would be helpful -
I think you may be looking for the controls that are now at the bottom right, I remember it taking while to get that into muscle memory haha

A quick heads up
Remember how i used to mention hardware constraints? Well they aren't around anymore, the hard hours of freelance has paid off
Im in the home of i7 goodness and 16gbs of ram FOR NOW.
Entering this fall will be Mr Xeon and 64gbs RAM with dual graphics cards (not decided yet) and a handful of 4K displays
Seriously watch this space!!!!!- 1

You could also make use of PDN4's new soft brush, select the colour you want, set a large size and 0% hardness, and then set whatever you have done to overlay, or any other layer blend, you may need to reduce the opacity a little but that will look pretty good, id love to see the end result!

Great, thanks for the update!
All I'd really like to see implemented now is the position of the various tool windows (tools, colors, layers, history) being saved across sessions instead of resetting on startup.
Im pretty sure they already remember their last positions?

Using wobble is a nice touch, ill be sure to keep that in mind while working on vignettes

Thank you all very much! I havent been working on the tutorials as of late, work is taking allot of my time, and im also redesigning my website

This is magical, i have actually been wanting to request this

Compatible with 4?

Strange, with this plugin installed PDN does not open the Effects menu, it just flashes the window

This... my mind is blown.

*Bump* Anyone have any ideas? My main goal is to have paint.net fully installed on my USB, ready to be plugged into and used on any compatible windows computer, without the hassle of Liberkey

I actually thought i would have more time for designing during the summer, but how wrong was i! Managing to find tight deadlines to meet and looking for (and successfully finding) work in a design studio, creating an updated brand image for my freelance work, learning new 3D software, web development and continually honing my skills with PDN has ended up taking all my time! I do have tutorials and download packs ready, but i am waiting on outing my new branding before unleashing all the goodies These latest four works are all for producers again, and are a another leap forward in terms of my creativity and design quality. I hope you enjoy them!

Im not sure whether this is actually allowed or not, but i want to have a portable version of PDN4 running off of my USB, just in case i need to edit on the fly. Now i used to use liberkey, but having that as a middleman was a little bit of a nuisance, and id rather make my own version. What would you recommend as to the process on how i would do this? I currently know of only one option, which is to install PDN on a virtual windows machine, then use another program to scan for all the files PDN created and pop them in one directory, which can then be put on my USB. Also i wouldn't want it compiled all on one .exe, as i would want the effects and filetypes folders for installing new stuff, much like liberkey allows.

Possible implementation? Id find it useful being able to have some power available while having something rendering on a big canvas, and to stop my laptop overheating.

There are real gems in here

Awesome! Is it advisable to enable hardware acceleration with integrated intel hd graphics?

Your work is so vibrant and complex! How do you do the complex wire-like shapes? I think i see some polar inversion but im not sure

The plugins "Make Transparent" and "AAs Assistant" coupled with some layer duplication will also work wonders if things get too messy for brightness / contrast to handle

I did a smidge of research on that processor, and while it should work fine with PDN, i wouldn't give it canvases the size of 3200x. I have a relatively new i3 laptop and a canvas that big would run the processor dry. maybe separating your large image up into chunks which you save and work on individually would be a safer solution that cropping and uncropping.

Carmen is my favourite of the new lot. How did you do the background for it?
Great work as usual.
Just put together a few of my homemade smoke textures
I'll be releasing them for download in the summer

Maybe to help put things into perspective, im using PDN 4 with an i3-370m processor [integrated graphics] and when idle PDN is using around 6%, when rendering anything it shoots right up to 100% until its finished [3000x1688 canvas].
