Thought so. Thanks for the clarification.

Very clever new UI. Is this made in CodeLab or Visual Studio?
-
-
Yep, it's like the Adjustments Layer but it adds stuff not adjusts.
-
Just in case, here's what I mean:
Ignore the red circle.
Will this be in PDN4?
-
Drop shadow, bevel, gradient overlay, just to name a few. If you have Photoshop you know what I'm talking about.
E: Yes, I can use plugins but the plugins are irreversible. I understand (from my puny knowledge of bitmaps and c#) that you would have to "vectorize" the rendering engine (completely rewrite it).

A search came up with no results, so I started a new topic.
Will there be layer styles in PdN4?
-
@Sarkut - Alright, so I'll make it optional.
@Possum - I'll do that in LOTW2.

6 entries already! Hurry up and make some more, Paint.Netters! Two days left.

Because the entries are PM'ed. I will post all of the entries in the thread when voting time comes.

What do you mean, "what happened"?
-
I have to say this is going awfully well.

Wonderful image, I'd say the color scheme is a tad dull and there are some extra-zoomed in issues and jaggies to be dealt with. I'd say not your best piece but I respect and welcome your return to the forums. WELCOME BACK

I cannot express my compliments in words. Therefore, have multiple stylish German cars and caffeinated beverages:

Mayor's is very clean cut, but ENOUGH WITH THE RENDERSIGS.
Stone's is quite boring and it is nothing new.

Rich in content, but needs to be more organised (more screenshots and step numbers).
-
I said no size requirements.
I'll make it clearer that:
- No size/aspect ratio requirements
- You are creating a logo for a fictional company/program

Will Paint.com do?

Yeah you can think up a random name...
Like for example the theme in LOTW 1 is Graphics Program.
I could make an imaginary program called Sciprag. I would design the logo for said company/program (Sciprag) and provide a description. We aren't making a logo for an already-existing company.
-
So... we make an entire new logo?
Sounds like funn.
I want to watch a competition, then I might try round two.
Yep you just make a logo for an imaginary company.

Discuss Logo of the Week here.

ABOUT
Welcome to Logo of the Week 1.
This week's theme is "Graphics Software", meaning you are to design a logo for a graphics software.
For example, Paint.NET is a graphics software.
RULES
YOU ARE TO DESIGN A LOGO FOR A FICTIONAL COMPANY/PROGRAM.
THERE ARE NO SIZE/ASPECT RATIO REQUIREMENTS.
No stock images are to be used.
Please list the fonts, if any, that you used.
The logo must be made 100% in Paint.NET.
No crude/offensive entries, etc.
You may use previously made images as pseudo-stocks, but you can't just enter an image you already made.
The winner of this week's comp gets to choose the theme for next week's comp.
YOU CAN INCLUDE A DESCRIPTION OR TAGLINE FOR YOUR LOGO (OPTIONAL).
For example, let's say I make a logo for a graphics program called "Expart".
The description could be something like: "Expart is a reasonably priced ($39.99) graphics program that runs on any OS."
Tagline could be: "Expart. Create expert art as easy as 1,2,3!"
DEADLINE
The deadline is 10.23.10.
HOW TO ENTER
Send me a PM with your entry.

Yeah, I adapted that idea. I'll give St1cki3 credit for the orig. idea.
