Been experimenting with colourising black and white images...
here's the first two

Here's my attempt at colourising a photo of von der Heydte...
Before
After
The coat should be a bit darker. My previous experience painting (With real brushes) helped me get the colours for the skintone right.

Wow...your german is good. I'm very suprised...
Wow...dein Deutsch ist schon ziemlich gut! Sehr überraschend.
Schön, dass dir das Tutorial gefallen hat.
Nice, that you liked my Tutorial.
Danke...I keep forgetting to make one of these (school and insomnia have been getting in the way). Still...your English is better than my German.

Very nice, but is it just me or is the propellor off-center?
Thanks!
It might be off center a bit...There's a lot that needs to be fixed on this though...

This is the first image I've made trying to make it realistic...the rest is just stuff I think looks cool...
I still need to work on the highlighting, and add a pilot, but it came out better than I thought it would...

Wow, those are great, too. Although I wish there was some sort of shading, and you could outline those lions, it would give a more high-quality look. But great job, those are really good.
I made a camera!
Thanks! These patches have since evolved into a more detailed design (And I have made hundreds of similar designs).
Nice lookin' camera! A bit small for my bad eyes, but still nice.

this was the first thing I made in PDN (Before I knew about the cool effects and plugins)
The lions and the double headed eagle were difficult...but now pale in comparison to what I can do now.... (I'm finally getting better at this program)
-
Here's another desktop I made similer to the first one. I made this one for a friend...he's a fellow model builder...peticularly interested in the 5. Panzer division.
I intentionally made the patches with different methods to look like different embroidery methods
(Regular embroidery and Jaquard weaving method)

@ RHoward, nice 2 images, I like the first one very much just because it has some more details, you are right about the blue color book, looks so well done, the cover texture is very nice and the dropshadow is good, it is adding some depth to the image, the only thing I notice is the thickness isn't uniform -thin from up and wider in the bottom-, I also like the blue stripe and its shadow, do you have a sig having something like that I think I saw something like that before, keep up good work.
Thanks Yellow...I tried fixing some of the odd thickness, but it didn't work. I had an avatar with "Fallschirmjäger" on it, like the blue armband.

I tried making some walpapers to fit my current theme (WW2 German Paratroopers).
This first image, turned out OK...the book on the left of the image came out the best, I think. I need to fix up a few things still.
This one is the base pattern of the first. I decreased the opacity to make it look faded...then I added some Gaussian blurred clouds in various shades of brown and black.
It was a rather tedious process to get this pattern half accurate.

you might have a bad copy of the program...I downloaded two copies of the program...the first one wouldn't install completley. The second one worked perfectly.

(Sorry everybody...I forgot)
Your English is better than my German. i'm going to try this tommorow morning.
Tschüß!

amazing tutorial...not extremley easy, but easy enough for a beginner like me. There were a few things I couldn't get right, but i took advantaeg of a few plugins to obtain a similar effect.
here's my attempt

interesting stuff...
I made a navigation menu for my website (It#s under construction). I left the background green so I don't have to mess with too many settings on my server....at least it does what I need it to.
To set a general theme, i sell action figures, and I reenact WW2...so I wanted a nav menu that looks like an old european sign post.
