  1. Here's a wallpaper I made for my grandmother, who wanted something that quoted a Dylan Thomas poem. The tree, the flowers, and the swirls are all from stock photos...but it still took me forever to get it looking like this
  2. I'm not an expert, but here's how I would do it...(this works best if you have the box and the text on two different layers) Just set the primary color to the color you want for the background, select the paint bucket tool, and click somewhere inside the border. It should fill in with that color. As for the text, I would delete it and re-write it in the color you want. If the text remains selected, you can change its color by clicking another primary color. But after text is deselected, there's really no way to go back and edit it--at least that I know of. Hope that helps!
  3. 7.5/10 It's ok, but kind of plain. I like the sketchy look of the hearts, though...
  4. Well, this is my first image to post in the pictorium...it's all made from scratch except for the water, which is from a stock (since I didn't have the water plugin). I like the top half, with the sky, but I'm not estatic about the water/rocks. Oh, well...I made this a while ago, and would redo the bottom if I hadn't forgotten to save a layered version
  5. Yay! First post! I've been lurking on the forum for a whole year, but finally decided to join so I can enter contests and get advice from all the amazing PDN people here One of my dad's co-workers mentioned PDN about a year ago, and I've been learning it ever since. My favorite thing to do is make desktop wallpapers by manipulating stock photos. I've made a couple things from scratch before, though. Looking forward to being part of the PDN community!
