Hey again everyone,
Over the past month I've been getting used to Paint.net. In last two weeks or so I've started my own project. My goal is to create a kind of dark gloomy foggy image. I want there to be two stair cases leading up a dark gloomy sky. At the bottom of my stair case I want there to be a dark gloomy misty garden, with maybe perhaps a statue of some sort between the two stair cases. Ill post what I have so far so maybe you can get a visual of how I want this. My problems currently are the stair case and the flowers and stuff in the garden. I have to idea how i should do these flowers. I have two stair cases that I created using Shape 3D, i would love to make these medieval looking somehow. I'm not sure if someone knows an effect I can use for that. The other thing i could use some help with is drawing this garden I'm really not sure how to go abouts doing this part, if any one has some artistic advice, and some technical advice on how to do this I'd love to hear.
Thanks for the help!
Heres What I have

hey everyone,
I am trying to create a stair case using shape 3d. I am able to create what would be one step of the stair case. I hit okay, the I create a new layer and try to do it again but at a different angel, but it won't let me create more than one shape with shape 3D.
Thanks for any help!

Hey everyone,
My buddies and I put together a little band, and pretty soon we will be releasing our first album. The name of the band is Nascent Descent (meaning a new descent). I'm starting some art work the album. Its going to be called Standing Tall. I was thinking about maybe using something like a spiral stair case in a dark color black with dark Grey shading. I'm fairly new to paint.net, I no i can do this on MS paint, but the quality will not be as good and it wouldn't look at nice. I was wondering if any one maybe had some suggestions on how to go about creating a spiral stair case. Also if anyone has any creative ideas or suggestions on this album cover I'd love to hear them. If any one helps me with this I'd be happy to put there name on the album giving them credit.
Thanks!

Hello everyone,
First of all this is an amazing program. I love it. I'm used to using MS Paint because as much as i love art i could never see my self paying 700 dollars for something like Photoshop. Ive gone through the tutorials forum and tried out different things, but I'm having trouble creating what i want to create. I no what i want to draw in my head and may no how to do it on paint, but doing it on Paint.net is currently difficult. Hopefully when I learn more about this program it will be more about the art and not trying to figure out how to use features. Really any advice would be appreciated. One thing that ive been having trouble with is shading or blending. I'm messed around with the gradient tool and the paint brush and some of the effects, i feel like im close but not up to par. I noticed that most of the tutorials are how to draw this or that. Which is cool but i almost need a tutorial on how to do the basics.
Thanks again!
Turning a Pattern into an effect.

I created this pattern using MS paint using some simple vertical lines and the sketch and skew tool. I'm not sure if this is possible but i would love to be able to turn this pattern into like an effect almost and use it on some stairs i created on PDN. It'd be cool if it had like something that controlled distortion and a dent effect. But really i want to know is, is there a way to turn this into an effect so that instead of copy and pasting it or recreating it in MS paint and pasting it PDN, is there a way to put into my effects menu.
THanks!
