  1. Edit: (kind of) I pressed "submit", and your new post with the logo in it popped up. I think it's wonderful, but yes, too complex.

Hmmm... I'm thinking a red background, same texture as your sig. Then, maybe... A tear drop shape, black, with a little reflection "splotch" near the bottom. Then, write Nascent Descent in the middle of it. Better? It's simple, so far...

  2. @Individualized-I think that your current one, the one with the white waves all over the name, isn't as nice as the second one, the darker one. The darker one could also have less transparent letters, so as to be easier on the reader's eyes.

Does anyone have any comments for my avatar? (Yes, I know, it isn't my avatar yet, but I'll resize it as soon as I finish my accursed homework)

  3. Nice work, Jake. Here's some of mine:

This was made in Photoshop, (sorry) when I had my 30-day trial...

This is my new avatar, a work in progress, but not much left to do. Any suggestions?

The logo for my future website, ProjectGeek (Still just an idea).

I made this last night, part of the spiral effect was made using Ash's tutorial/hint on how to make brushed metal. If anyone has any feedback, or I did something wrong, just tell me... I'm liable to have done something wrong.

  4. I just read this tutorial for the first time today, and it's actually really helpful. I never understood fully the different file types.

Also, I usually flatten the image in Paint.NET, select all, and, after copying, undo all of that. Then I open Paint and save the image as a .BMP, so I can upload it to Photobucket, but now I guess I'll start saving them as .PNGs.

My method, though long, makes it so I can later come back and edit the image, in the original .PDN format.
