@Oma-I don't know exactly what you mean, or what you're doing, because I only skimmed your post. But I can offer one idea--Why don't you just use the Shape3D plugin, and make cubes/rectangles, and then make them stacked, descending towards the front of the image? That may be too complex, but it's just my take.
@Spiritscout-I like the signature, the avatar may need some work.

Thanks, man.
Don't take my low self esteem seriously. I was just kidding around.

Hey, everybody! It's 9:15 in the morning, I have the day off school, and I'm waiting for D.A to IM me back, so I thought I might as well make a gallery. Yay! Well, here goes.
I don't have a lot of work, and I don't like some of my work, but I guess I'm coming along. These images will be posted in order of when I made them, for the most part, from oldest to newest.
Click on pictures to see full size version!
Article #1:
That was made with a tutorial, and I was pretty happy with how it turned out. It's supposed to be animal fur.
Article #2:
Another tutorial, I use these flames quite a bit, while messing around. They're fun to make, too.
Article #3:
This was made for a mother's day card, and turned out nicely, also made with a tutorial.
Article #4:
Also a tutorial, it could be better, I might remake it at some point. The game is Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos. Lots of fun.
Article #5:
My first signature! I posted a tutorial for it, at one point.
Article #6 and #7:
These were both made for a girl that I know, they aren't bad, but I think they were tutorials.
Article #8:
This was made for my real life friend, acim. It was made in Photoshop. (I got a 30-day trial.)
Article #9:
Also made in Photoshop, this was for another girl I know. It turned out very well.
Article #10:
My last Photoshop piece. My friend and I were bored, so we just combined all this stuff.
Article #11:
This one turned out pretty nicely. It was made for my Neopets shop (Yes, I know, I'm a loser  ).
Article #12:
This is my current signature, it needs to be remade, but I'm too lazy.
Article #13 <--Unlucky!:
We'll skip this one, I wouldn't want to jinx--Well, it is my junky *old* avatar. I'll put it in anyways.
Article #14:
Actually, I did the next image before this one. And, coincidentally, when I was
going to save it, I accidentally typed "Frierfox" instead of Firefox. So, I googled "french fries," and began editing! It's actually not bad.
Article #15:
This was just a big practice piece for Curves+, I made this right after reading PrettyDarnNeat's Curves tutorial.
Article #16:
This one was fun to make. I mostly just used Shape3D and PowerStretch, but I learned a lot about making 3D objects. The only thing I didn't make was the label.
And much more to come! Keep checking back for more work. I might have also organized it a bit, by then.

*Gasp* Those are Awesome, Wither! The drum set looks super real! Wow!
As requested I made a tutorial for a paint brush. Enjoy. But after looking at Withers creation, I feel like I've been drawing with Crayons .Self esteem issues?

Great work, man, I really look forward to new stuff from you. Keep up the good work!
And I think that the darkness of the logo is good. It makes it look more "organic," if you know what I mean. The darkness differentiates it from the other contestants' logos (most likely), and gives it a little twist. Nice job, by the way, on both of the logos. They're great work! And, speaking of that, how did you do in the contest?
-
I think that you're a great artist, and you have lots of inspiration, and great ideas.
By the way, a quick question. You seem to speak English (or something close to it) on the PDN forums, but your website is in French! What's up with that?
-
Ooh! I second that idea/question! That would be a lot better than email subscriptions, Hotmail won't let any content be shown in the messages, and I have to tell it to every time I get a notification.
-
So... Many.. Signatures...
-
...Did you notice, that upon clicking the glass picture at the top of page, you are redirected to a larger version of your avatar? Maybe you should check that out, and fix it?
Very nice work, though.

I love the 300 one! It's hilarious!
Ehmm.. Wonderful editing job, too, old chap.

Color always helps. The depth is great this way, but you could tinge the clouds with blood red, to make them contrast with the fist, and make the almost invisible text stand out.
Hidden Content:Color to make text blend with forum background is: #ECECEC for the light posts, and #DCE1E5 for the dark posts. You're welcome! -
Well, I don't do much abstract, but here are two examples:
That was made this morning, just random lines with paint brush, and then:
Hidden Content:Jitter>Kaleidoscope>PowerStretch>Curves +I posted this in the old Pictorium before... Part of it was made with Ash's brushed metal hint (Noise, radial blur, stuff like that). The rest was:
Hidden Content:Twist>Clouds [Very Rough]>Curves +>Text [Top font: Cheap Fire, Bottom font: Dark Crystal Script]>Outline Object for top, reflection for bottom -
@Moc246-Can you upload the DLL to a different website? My Dad's stupid blocker thing won't let me go to "Ourdome.com." I'd really like to download your plugins, they look great. Can you help?
-
Phew, thanks. I'm sure anyone else viewing this will say the same.
-
True. He has two, though, doesn't he? The plain one, and then the one with the crazy blue robot coming out of it? I may be thinking of two different people...
-
Aahhh! Seizure! Too much artwork!
(It's all awesome, though.)
(I would also consider investing time in putting a few spaces in between all of the pictures.)
-
...You don't have any art to show?
-
It's awesome! Probably (most definetly, completely, totally) your best signature/avatar combination yet! I think it needs some color, though.
As for the avatar... It's a tad fuzzy, some of the border lines and, mostly, the big white "swoop" look unfocused. They look fine in the signature, but at the zoom level of the avatar, they may need a bit of work. I wouldn't know what else to put into it, other than that. It's a great minimalist piece, very simple. Color may also help, as I said before. Nice job!
-
Ha ha ha ha! That's really good! I'm a Star Trek fan myself, the movies are great. I'm not sure I liked the one of Scotty, I've come to look forward to his old, rather large, self.
-
It's beautiful!
This is my first time seeing the whole thing! Superb work.
-
Ha ha ha ha ha! That really made me laugh! LOL! Very nice editing job!
-
I like it! Is that your bike?
-
I just finished it, sorry it took so long, my dad wanted to give me his input, and ended up complaining about the low quality of the text when zoomed very far in.
So, anyways, here it is:
Sorry it's such low resolution, quality, and just overall bad, but it's just an idea, and I did it in a hurry, and my computer's lagging (*cry cry*).
-
Ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha! That made me laugh! Even in my sick and "dying" state, I laughed!

I think that's very commendable work. Simple, but nice looking, and you should definetly be proud of it. Have you had experience with any other program, before coming to Paint.NET?
