You should make your overall image the size of your smallest picture. That way all of your larger pictures can just be sized down to fit. Anytime you re-size an image to make it larger it will come out blurry. To re-size an image hit Control + R.

Awesome work, but I have no idea what's going on. A glass of Guinness, an acorn, and a puddle of gold with a fish poking it's head out. I'm lost. lol

 They're not stock. I make 95% of my backgrounds myself. It's a combination of smudging, C4Ds, and solid color layers with various blending modes. Have you seen my videos?

Not bad. I recommend putting some more detail into the background. You should also experiment with borders.

I was able to make this using the Shadow/Highlight Recovery tool. You can find it in Tanel's plugin pack.

[How to remove a specific color...]

I know there's a plugin that has a Color to Alpha feature that lets you change specific colors transparent, but I'm not completely sure how well it work since I don't use it.

[Gradients]

1. You can use this method. Just make the gradient your texture layer.

 

2. Enter your text with the color of your choice. Duplicate the layer and the use Hue/Saturation to change the duplicated text the color you want it to transition to. Select the gradient tool and change it to transparency mode. While still on the duplicated layer, begin using the gradient tool on the top of the text and work your way down. If done right, you should have a text that transitions from one color to another.

Nice sig, really nice smudgy background, but the twinkling stars could've been held back a bit, it's a bit annoying IMO. 

Yea that would be the brushes. It came out a little overwhelming. I'm still getting used to brushes, so I'm still working out the kinks. It's been a long time since I've used them. Thanks for the feedback.

What do you guys think of this sig? I spent a while on it trying to start up a new style. No C4Ds were used to make this sig. I used a little smudging and some brushes to make this one. I think it came out well for an experiment sig.
