A simple space scene I made in about 3 mins. I didn't do anything special with the stars though, just a simple starfield. Is the picture any good?

I fullheartedly endorse this request; it would do wonders for my space scenes.

That is mainly what I want it for too! This would help make awesome space scenes. Ever since I saw Greg Martin's tutorial for a star field, (and I couldn't do the lens flare part cause I'm not on Photo Shop Pro), I've been wanting this.

I searched and searched for this and found no results. I don't think there is anything that does a lens flare on PDN, if so then I'm pretty dumb...

So my suggestion is to have a lens flare effect. This is like in a starfield or something, you can put a lens flare on some stars to make them flare like a camera looking straight at a bright light.

This gives an effect that looks somewhat like a sun. I hope you guys understand what I mean, if not post your question and I will try to answer it. If there is a very simple way to do this, please tell me!

Ok, I need to know how to make my signature work the way I meant it to be. As you can see, it has a gradient going up the middle. The gradient goes above and below the accual "picture" in my sig. Well in PDN, I left the top and bottom transparent so it was like the gradient was going out of the picture. But now my sig shows a little grey above and below the picture part of it.

Sorry if this is confusing, but the main question is: How can I make the tops and bottom of my sig truly transparent, so the only thing that is above and below the picture is the gradient?

If this is too confusing just tell me specific details you need to know and I'll tell you.

Ok I tried that, and it didn't work but then as I was going back to normal, I accidently clicked on multiply, and it changed everything back to normal!

So my problem is now solved!

Yes you are right about the :LinearGradient: and

On the 1st backround layer ( :LinearGradient: ), the colors are set to: Primary = black and Secondary = white

On the second layer they are set to: Primary = black and Secondary = white transparent

And no I didnt manualy change the blending mode for the top layer

That is what I've done before but it just causes both of the layers to be about equally faded (just a little less than before).

Ok this may be a simple thing to you guys, but I am fairly new to this. I have searched for the answer and was unable to find it so I decided I might as well post .

Ok when I am trying to make a sig and I add more layers the bottom layer fades away a bit. Here's an example:

1st layer:

Ok now I add the second layer with another gradient:

See how after the second layer, the first layer is faded away a bunch. I want the first layer to be just as bright as the second...

Here's an example of a completed sig where the render and the background faded and made me a bit mad...

So I'm just wondering if there is any solution to this whether it is simply right under my nose or if it is a plug in. It seems when I look at sigs made by other people this never happens so I assume there has got to be a way to stop it.
