I admire anyone that would take graphic design to a career level... I don't think I could stand it. It would just be too difficult trying to create something someone else wants me to create instead of something out of my own mind.
-
Same from me. I don't think people realize what work gos into coding a program until they actually take time and look at the source code.
Rick and all the others did an outstanding job.
Without the forum, PdN is dry... its still a great program, but its the forum that really makes it what it is.

^^Same here. My grandfather is dieing of lung and bone cancer because of them.
But I agree... good tutorial and result.
-
I agree with Pyro. This article looks less than believable.

Paint.NET isn't an animation program. If you'd like to split an animation into frames, find another software to do so, then open the frames (images) in PdN for manipulation.
unFREEz doesn't split animations into frames, it just takes frames and turns it into an animation.

Are you using the latest version?
I doubt this has anything to do with it, but its worth a shot...

Please don't bump threads.
For your problem-
Make sure you don't drop the .zip into the Effects folder, rather drag the .dll inside the .zip into the effects folder.
Restart Paint.NET if it was running.
Go to Effects - Blurs and you will see feather as one of the first effects in that menu.
Go to effects and scroll down until you see drop shadow. Its a little closer to the bottom.

If I may quote Bob:
Please open Paint.NET and press F1.

Temporary solution:

Enjoi!

Pyro, theres no way to send the key combo for it - Ctrl+Shift+N? I agree with The_Lionhearted, thats surprising.
-
Bob, you can see it in the red of your sig, without using the plugin...
-
I think I've been beaten
I wish I would have waited to enter it, I was just exited.

gaussian blur at a low value.
Thats what the request sounds like.

This is separate from the other plugin, your fine running both, OMA.
Also, very nice plugin. Good job.
-
That's amazing! Wonderful job, NotAulophobic!
-
Yeah, aguba did a nice job as well.
Stephan, the only problem I have ix some of your boxes are sort of bulky, I just thin they could have been sized down.
Nice design, though

Well, your main theme is different from the logo... it's hard to put to words.
I guess what I'm saying is the logo looks out of place from the rest of the page.
-
It seems nice, I'm not to pleased with the logo at the top, though.
Also, the mini windows of the toolbars and a little distracting, but thats just my opinion, I went for a totally different concept than you
I've submitted my entry. Comments?
Edit:
Thanks Helio!
Blast, I was hoping I wouldn't miss anything
Also a huge thank you to CMD for the centering tip :mtdew:

Here it is, I'm very pleased with it..
It sort of reminds me of Helio's take on skinning PdN, but it's my style and just came as I went along, nothing intended, Helio

I tried to keep it as simple and sleek as possible, sometimes less is better.
I choose not to add adsense adds just for the graphical effect and I think it would have distracted from my point.
The only image I didn't make was the RSS symbol which is located at http://getpaint.net/images/feed-icon-12x12.png
Enjoy, I know I did creating it

Sorry I'm late on posting in this thread, I'm normally good about seeing 'em
The problem with your request is 'banner' is a very broad term. It expands over many styles and many differing themes. Your not giving us enough information to target in on those styles and themes. I don't understand your use of the word 'hard'. Are you saying difficulty to make or something else?
If you want a banner that fits your needs, give us more information

I don't post here much, but when I do I try to make it good.
Just a nice orb that sparked my attention when I made it:
