* The Save Configuration dialog will now allow you to maximize it, and it will also remember its location and size.
Will this also be applied to the Open dialogue? I know it just says Save but it could be useful for the Open dialogue too.

ok do you have google talk? my user name is removed as per request
I'm sorry I don't, but you could PM me on the forum, would that be ok?

you will be the first tester if you want to just post here and i will give you the link.
Fine by me, happy to help.

I have no tutorials but this sounds like a really good idea.
Can't wait to see its development.

I'm sure I read somewhere, can't remember where though, that this inability to scroll past the edge when zoomed in would be altered for a future release. Is this true or just another one of my false memories :? ?
I'll try looking around to find out.
EDIT: Found it.
Scrolling past the edge of the canvas when zoomed in -- Right now when you zoom in on the image, you can only scroll to the edge of the image. It can be inconvenient because then you have no space between the image and the scroll bars. Implementing this is dependent on some other "plumbing" work that should be done for the image canvas' rendering, and this will be taken into account when that work is being done. No ETA though.Found here:
http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=3455
Unfortunately no ETA, so barkbark and Down you'll have to carry on doubling your canvas size

Unless you copy them while PDN is still running, paste that file in let's say My Documents and then close PDN. The history file would still be intact, then replace in the original place when you restart PDN...
Oh but wait, you can't replace files while a program is running. Doesn't matter. Everything seemed dandy in my head until I wrote it down.
-
But that wasn't the case because the history items weren't even being saved in memory, they were saved to disk
Isn't it possible to save that file and then insert it back in the right place from where you copied it from when you restart PDN?

A really cool addition...would be a fullscreen mode...This is really good when you're working with larger pictures.
That's a brilliant idea, also for the people with smaller screens. My 1024x768 at times bugs me to the extreme and so would be very handy to have a full screen mode (F11 like in Firefox?).
Great idea Frojo.

Sorry if I got your hopes up unduly, and yes I should have realised

Never read it in my life, I prefer to figure things out for myself than immediately seek help and have the fun taken out of it.
-
You can't - once it's done it's done. If it's wrong delete/undo it and restart the text again. It might be a good idea to do text on a layer of its own.
Hope that helps.

Tried this the best I can so should work, however I don't have Vista only XP.
Try this plugin...
http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=1152
...and save your image with all the boxes ticked when saving, you'll know what I mean when you see it.
Hope it works and helps.

since i work for a pod company i cant use too many layers.i'd prefer work done on a single layer.
Do you work on as many layers as needed, then when finished press Ctrl + shift + F to flatten all the layers into one, or for the same affect: Image > Flatten. Or just save the piece of work as a JPEG, PNG or BMP (Bitmap) and that will flatten the image and save it at the same time.

Great plugin Rick, but other than PDN, does anyone know of any programs that can view HD photos (that's free )? I've gone for that HD Photo Porting Kit but nothing seems to have changed; then again I could have misunderstood its purpose and it's not what I thought it was. Having said that, I haven't restarted my lappy yet....

So what your talking about is that each line or shape drawn is an object on it's own that can be selected and moved after the fact. A bit like lines and stuff created in Microsoft Word. Am I right?
If this is the case, I'm not sure if this will be possible soon, if ever?
Help from others?
The best advice is what Helio suggested, using the magic wand or the other selection tools.
I do hope I haven't just rambled on for nothing.

If your question is directed at me, nope it keeps coming up with what gugs said, that error message of:
You aren't seeing deja vu, this is also my sig
(If your question isn't for me, apologies)

Have you tried search, you could also try specifying your search only in the tutorials section as that will get rid of some useless results that might be elsewhere.
Or is this the kind of thing you were looking for:

Ah, depends whether gugs has Office 2007, she/he may only have <2003 like me with 2003.
On a side note, is Office 2007 as good as it's cracked up to be?

Or - if you have PowerPoint - copy the image you want to a blank slide and copy from there to PDN, that works however be warned that the image you copy from PowerPoint to PDN will be the size of the original file, for instance:
image (y) is 100x100 pixels and you shrink it on Word to 50x50 (ish) pixels, when you copy it from PowerPoint to PDN it will paste as the original 100x100 and not the shrunk 50x50. Hope that made sense.
I see this a lot, PowerPoint can do more practical things that Word cannot, strange but yet very annoying most of the time.

This is really going to be for the ones that have a few or no plugins. Newer versions will come out when plugin updates are released. You can download PPP every time there's a plugin update, or you can download the plugin by itself on the forum.
Ah right, that's cleared it up thanks.

That would be a really good idea as that would test/improve certain skills
