Something I want is more brushes, such as the background fills. At least make it so you can download types of brushes other users make?

I posted this on the fire topic but here it is with a link to fire effect
My guess on fiery text effect:
1. Make the fire effect.
2. Add New Layer with a black (or other color) background.
3. Double Click this new layer and change it's mode to: multiply
3. Type in text with your primary color: white
4. Any effects can add
(Here is glow)

Please, do try to keep it this way for the benefit of many users. We wouldn't want to miss out on the new features and upgrades.
If it does come to be a problem you may be able to get a development team that can convert vista special code down to xp

With the incoming Windows Vista, will you be making all further releases compatible with XP and Vista? Because I am hoping you will keep it to XP as a minimum, not as many people will upgrade to Vista. But it should work on both systems.

I am new to paint.net, and i just downloaded the alpha 3 release. I have to say this program is amazing. It is a good editor, made to work well with Windows. Plus it has awesome filters. I hope you will continue to improve this great graphic editor.
