  1. This has been discussed a little bit somewhere's else. Until a polygonal select tool is built(if it is built), you might try this:

    1. Make a new layer

    2. with antialiasing and transparency fading turned off, draw the polygon with the line tool.

    3. select the inside or ouside of the region with the magic want at a low tolerance.

    4. and go back to the layer you want to select from.

  2. Until we get a PDN dock :D, you might try this.

If you've got a windows xp comp, dust off an old monitor and use it in combo with your current one. Then you can have the tools box, color window, layers window, and history box on one screen and the actual image on the other.

The one downside to this is that you have to have a dual monitor card :(

It works well on laptops though as most fairly recent ones have an external monitor out port and support two monitors.

  3. First off, what you guys are doing with Paint.NET is GREAT!!! Keep up the good work. I do have one suggestion, for the moment. I downloaded the GIMP to play around with some different features, filters, etc. and I noticed that it had a bezier selection tool. In the process of one of the GIMP tutorials, it comes in really handy for drawing things like raindrops and paint brush ends. I know you can duplicate the effect to some degree with another layer and a regular colored bezier curve, but to have a built in selection tool would be great. Again, this is a great program!

  4. Nice Plugin. The ability to open icons/cursors is a nice feature to have in PDN. One suggestion though, When I try to save an icon, it saves it as a 16/16 32bit. it would be nice if you had the option of what format to save an image as. Or, this one would be a bit more complex, an option to save an icon complete with multiple formats. I'm fairly new to PDN and .NET programming so I'm not sure if this is actually possible. Possibly either the ability to save multiple png/bmp etc. files into one icon or, have the different formats all displayed on one image. Again, I'm new to this so I may just be missing something.
