Has anyone had any success installing PDN under Wine in Linux? I've tried multiple times with version 4.0.9 and even 3.5.11, with no luck at all. I thought v 4.0.9 would succeed, but it crashed while trying to install Dot.NET 4.6.1.
Wine is a hit or miss with most Windows s/w. I can install PhotoShop, but PDN seems to not want anything to do with it. Just curious if anyone had success in this and how they accomplished it.

dipstick - It seems wrong calling you that!
I'm flattered you like my avatar ... I've gone back to the original version now. I also like your 'sig'... do I see some 'furblur' there?
Yes, that is indeed your FurBlur plugin effect. Don't worry, I've been called much worse than dipstick.

Just tested it out and it works fine here (PDN 4.0.9 / Win10). The hourglass keeps going, but the image is already made. I have to close out the plugin to kill the hourglass thinggy. It works and makes the image substantially smaller. I like how you can specify color sub-sampling if you want to.

^ and ^^ What is it with your avatars? You guys twins??
Seriously nice effect Red. I'm planning to play with this big time over the weekend. Thanks!
Imitation is the best form of flattery. I always liked Red's avatar, it's conspicuously inconspicuous.

Nice Pastel effect plugin. I used multiple layers and blending modes for this one.

Excellent tut Pixey! I'm not much into bling, but here is my creation....
* Edit, I made a better one.

Save the image as a PNG, BMP, TIFF, or PSD (if you have the adobe plugin). You can save as jpg, but you will loose some quality.

Simple, maybe.........But a true professional always makes it worthy.

...And what's ffmpeg.dll doing in the system32 folder? I use ffmpeg all the time, yet never encountered an ffmpeg.dll is system32 or any folder for that matter. Unless you have some strange GUI (I haven't encountered) that uses ffmpeg for encoding?

Wonder why that is? My version of Windows is version 10.0 (10240) and according to Windows "Programs and Features", i'm only up to VC++2012, yet PDN version 4.0.9 had no problems installing and works fine. Some older plugins don't play well however...

I am needing to convert a photo to a vector image so it is like a stencil. Currently I have been changing the photo to black and white and then using the ink sketch but am curious if there is a plugin or another better method. Also if there is a tool like mask in order to quickly remove the background. Currently I've just been using the paintbrush and removing the back ground with that.
Thanks!
If you are wanting to create a Vector Image, then I believe ShapeMaker Plugin would serve you well.

Thanks for the link, it gives me some more ideas. I'll try something later when I have some time.
