Hi, I have a photo of 2 young boys standing hand in hand and I want to take the figures out of the shot and use them in a different photo. I have tried using the paintbrush to delete the background and leave the figures, but it is very tedious and subject to error. Can someone please tell me a better way to do this. Thanks RMHC.

Hi BoltBait, Many thanks for that info. Is there any way to change this default practise except ensuring that the clipboard has a letter size page on it?

When I press Ctrl+N to get a new page the new size defaults to .24x.29inches. I generally use letter size, 8.5x11.00 . I have never ever used .24x.29". How can I have it default to letter size? Thanks for any help .

Hi Ego Eram Reputo, Thanks for the reply. I have made the additional blank space to the right of my diagram as you said. How can I now get the second image in the blank space I created.? ..........I have just copied & pasted the second image into the blank space QED. Many thanks for the assist. RMHC.

Hi ANONYMISS, Thanks for the reply. Yes the 2 images are the same size. I wish to place them side by side on the background if possible for easy comparison.

I have 2 diagrams which are similar but not identical. I want to have them side by side on the screen for easy comparison, or have 1 in the background and the other in a layer so that I can flip between them. How can I do this? I greatly appreciate any help, Thanks. RMHC.

Hi Boltbait, Thanks for the reply. Doing what you suggest does not seem to make the Tool tips permanent, but only shows the tip for the active tool. I want to have the tips displayed for all 19 tools as I have a problem remembering them. Is this possible? Appreciate any help with this. RMHC. Something like the attached

Hi Rick, I have difficulty remembering 'Tooltips' and life would be helpful if the tooltip was displayed alongside the tool icon permanently in the tool list- thus eliminating the need to hover over the icon. I realise this would make the tool list wider but I think that is a small price to pay for the convenience provided. Thanks for a great programme, RMHC.

Thank you IRON67 for that input. I understand what you are saying. To continue the discussion - if I resize the image using Ctrl+R can I then save the new enlarged image? I tried it yesterday but the result was a copy of my original!!! R.

Thanks to both. I have done both of the options you suggest and cannot get the magnified, enlarged, image saved in its new form. If I magnify an image using the zoom slider, it it not possible to save the 'zoomed' image? R.

I have an image from My Documents file open in PDN. I want to see more detail so I resize it to 200% of the original. When I save it - it reverts to the original size. How can I save the resized image? Thanks for any help.

Hi Pixey, Thank you for your help with my parallel lines issue. I downloaded Martin Osieka's plug in and it works great. I will also have a look at Midora's as you suggest. Thanks again, have a good & safe holiday, Richard.

Hi, Is there a Plugin to enable drawing 2 - or more, parallel lines with one stroke of the line/curve tool? It should be possible to select the separation of the lines also the thickness of the lines and the colour between them. Apologies if this is a redundant question but I have looked without success. RMHC.

Hi IRON67 & MJW, I finally got the circles to center but only when they are each drawn on a separate layer, ie. 3 circles on three layers. 3 circles on one layer will not work. Is this correct?? rcoombs

Hi Again Pixey, I cannot get the Align Object to do anything. I drew a circle on 2 layers, and on 1 layer and the background, and nothing happens when I use Align Object. There is no movement of either circle. Thanks again rcoombs.

Hi Pixey, Thanks for the suggestion. I tried using the Align object but it is malfunctioning or I am! Probably the latter. I drew 2 circles on a blank page and while the second one was still selected clicked on 'center both'. Nothing happens. What am I doing wrong. Thanks rcoombs..

As circles are drawn from the circumference instead of from the center, it is very difficult to produce concentric circles with any accuracy. Positioning the second or more circles accurately is an exercise in frustration and rarely results in acceptable concentricity. Does anyone know a way to do this accurately & easily. Thanks for any help, rcoombs in NC.

I believe I read somewhere that they could be moved.Maybe it was in a plug-in? It is not of overriding import, but it might be more convenient in some other position on the screen. Ego E R, I realise the utility windows can be moved, I was referring to the icons for the U windows, I guess they are fixed. Thanks again... rcoombs

Is it possible to move the icons at the top right of the screen? Tools,history etc. I have tried many key combinations without success. Thanks RMHC.

Tango, Good suggestions... How about a button to disable auto scroll instead of the auto disable you suggest?
