Layering

What do you mean by layer?

As in - HDR tone a picture, or what...? (Under developed, normal, and overdeveloped pictures into one with curves)

If you mean import different pictures as separate layers into one pdn doc, go to Layers>Import from file. This will add a new layer with whatever image you loaded.

If you mean have two images sort of merge into each other (either from the horizontal or vertical axis) then you can set the gradinet tool to linear and transparent and mess around with that. I think there might be a tutorial on that, but I'm not going to try to find it right now.
