tyler9xp
To make text with a gradient, I turn off antialiasing so the Magic Wand tool can select every pixel in the words I type. I can then put a top-to-bottom gradient on the text. Unfortunately, this causes the text to look somewhat blocky and pixelated, which doesn't look very nice. How can I fill my text with a gradient an keep the antialiasing effect as well?
Crazy Man Dan
You can use Alpha Masking to do it. Make the text white on a black background, save it as a PNG, draw your gradient across the whole image, then import the PNG as a mask. It will leave the gradient visible in the white areas of the mask (the text), and hide the black area. You'll need to download Illnab's Alpha Mask Importer plugin to do it.
