Solitudeone Posted July 21, 2007 Share Posted July 21, 2007 I have so far gone thru all the fonts and removed better than half of them. pdn still crashes when i go to add text to image. this has only started within the past two days, until now, it has been working fine for a number of months. nothing new added to system or fonts recently, not sure what to do next, have tried un-install and re-install from new download . i have tried the email route, but no response . thanks for any suggestions . I had one just like it when I updated to the new version of Paint.NET and ran it for the 1st time. After that it worked find and I blame it on update files being still in RAM. Solitudeone Posted July 22, 2007 Author Share Posted July 22, 2007 First , the text tool in the tool bars "A" , i click on that , when i click on the font selection box to display the fonts, then pdn crashes. Second, i can write any of the fonts in both wordpad, and ms office word. up until yesterday, there was no problem with the pdn and the fonts . so i don't know what changed and why the crashes now. Solitudeone Posted July 22, 2007 Author Share Posted July 22, 2007 trail and error i guess. i removed more than half the fonts installed into a seperate desktop folder, then reinstalled them. reinstall came across 4 or 5 corrupt fonts. started pdn again and got farther down the font listings watching where i was in the list when it would crash. took out a batch of 11 questionables. 7 of them i have used before , not sure where the other 4 came from, i think perhaps ms office suite . the problem is probably one of them. the last time i tried without these 11 fonts, everything seemed to work ok again . thanks for help and suggestions .
