moonseye
I am looking for a way to make icons with P.N. I think the standard is 16x16 pixels, but not sure. And, when they are made where should I store them and what is the extension they should be filed with. I know the icons in WinXP are in the shell file and as yet other than changing the icons for each software etc it is done under properties. Any enlightenments please. Bob
Why can't I load or save icons (.ico files)?Icons are meant to hold multiple images of various dimensions and color depths. Paint.NET is meant to work with single images composed of multiple layers that are exactly the same dimensions and only with the 32-bit color depth. So Paint.NET would make an awful icon editor. We recommend checking out out Axialis IconWorkshop, http://www.axialis.com/iconworkshop/ , instead. Quote No. Way. I've just seen Bob. And... *poof!*—just like that—he disappears into the mist again. ~Helio
