Using paintbucket on imported image

File > :FileOpen:Open your picture

:AddNewLayer: Add a new layer. It's important. Make sure this new layer is selected ("blue")

Layers > :ImportLayers: Import from File your template

Select the white part with the :MagicWandTool:Magic Wand tool.

Edit > :Delete: Erase Selection.

You're done.

If you deselect the flowers layer, you'll see a checkboard background, it means that this area is transparent.

Note: There is different manners to do that, (via Edit > :PasteNewLayer: Paste in New Layer and such), but this method is quickest as you've to open only one image.
