LonelyPixel
I have a CanoScan N670U scanner but Paint.NET doesn't accept it for scanning. The scanner shows up in the control panel, like the FAQ said I should check, and passes the test offered there. But the menu command in Paint.NET 3.01 to acquire an image from a scanner remains disabled. Why doesn't it work? What else do I need? Bob
What restarting Paint.NET does? Quote No. Way. I've just seen Bob. And... *poof!*—just like that—he disappears into the mist again. ~Helio
LonelyPixel
Doesn't change. I unplugged the scanner and retried, no change. The scanner driver is the latest I could find on the vendor homepage (7.0.3). When the scanner is shown in that list, does that mean it supports WIA? I never heard of WIA, no idea what exactly that is. The scanner has always worked fine with TWAIN software (PSP all versions, IrfanView). Bob
Sorry, I cannot find any info about this, looking through sites and specs. If I remember correctly, Canon scanners does not show up on the "WIA compliant Hardware" list on the Microsoft KB. Ask your vendor. Quote No. Way. I've just seen Bob.
