Tawnos76
I am new to editing with Paint (did a lot of simple straight out drawing with it but not layering) and have only used the simple drawing parts of it so far but I need help in adding 2 pictures together so they look natural. How do I blend them so they look seamless. These are the 3 I am currently working on. thank you http://www.mediafire.com/?xxp7mta3tmafivt http://www.mediafire.com/?d5vd788wdfdhy5f http://www.mediafire.com/?i50d2tc027wm2kz They are all different Discworld images I am trying to blend to look natural. Let me know what I should try. Edited October 21, 2010 by Tawnos76 Quote IXOYE
Sarkut
I tried some blurred Alpha Mask, Smudge, and some 1 pixel white lines to extend the flared highlight from the scythe blade. http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/61/disctrial1edit01xcc.png
Tawnos76
Thanks that looks great. I will give what you did a try and see if I can get the same results. Quote IXOYE
Tawnos76
Gave alpha masking a try but I think I still am missing something as I did not see much of a difference. How do you cut the edges off around the picture like you did in the example you posted up. Here is what I got when I tried to merge and blend. and Quote IXOYE
Sarkut
Make a mask in black on a new (transparent) layer. Copy the mask into the Windows clipboard, then switch to the image layer and apply the Alpha Mask effect with no checkmark in the top box. Here's a recent thread with some links relating to Alpha mask use. This is partly the original/partly a reproduction of the masks that I used originally. http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/6252/disconemaskpng.png

I did some cutting as well and here is what I ended up with. Much better than my earlier trials. Quote IXOYE
