Blending help

Recommended Posts

I am new to editing with Paint (did a lot of simple straight out drawing with it but not layering) and have only used the simple drawing parts of it so far but I need help in adding 2 pictures together so they look natural.

How do I blend them so they look seamless.

These are the 3 I am currently working on.

thank you

They are all different Discworld images I am trying to blend to look natural. Let me know what I should try.

Gave alpha masking a try but I think I still am missing something as I did not see much of a difference.

How do you cut the edges off around the picture like you did in the example you posted up.

Here is what I got when I tried to merge and blend.

Make a mask in black on a new (transparent) layer.

Copy the mask into the Windows clipboard, then switch to the image layer

and apply the Alpha Mask effect with no checkmark in the top box.

Here's a recent thread with some links relating to Alpha mask use.

This is partly the original/partly a reproduction of the masks that I used originally.

Thanks for the help. I did some cutting as well and here is what I ended up with. Much better than my earlier trials.
