Resize certain area/ pixels

Hey Guys, N00B Here,

I want to try and resize the image below so it'll be

Small enough to fit within an area without looking

awkward (that sentence was awkward though)

But when i go to resize, it only changes the

canvas size. What I Want it to do is be like the

Normal paint, and make the selected area smaller,

Not the entire canvas.

You can resize by selection.

Use the Move Selected Pixels tool with the Shift key down

on a corner nub of a Rectangular selection .

Thanks, Mustve been something i couldnt see (considering im half blind, not really, just don;t notice things as well)
