Garnetchan
Paint.net crashed, when I failed to get it working again. I uninstalled it and reiinstalled it, this error came up. I checked if it was the program that extracts the file (someone suggested that to me) and the same message came up. I would really appreciate some assistance. Thank you Error Message: System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'PaintDotNet.SystemLayer.FileSystem' threw an exception. ---> System.IO.IOException: The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.Directory.InternalGetFileDirectoryNames(String path, String userPathOriginal, String searchPattern, Boolean includeFiles, Boolean includeDirs, SearchOption searchOption) at System.IO.Directory.GetFiles(String path, String searchPattern, SearchOption searchOption) at System.IO.Directory.GetFiles(String path, String searchPattern) at PaintDotNet.SystemLayer.FileSystem..cctor() --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at PaintDotNet.SystemLayer.FileSystem.TryDeleteFile(String filePath) at PaintDotNet.Setup.InstallingPage.d__1f.MoveNext() at PaintDotNet.Threading.IterativeTask.IterativeTaskAnon.d__0.MoveNext() at PaintDotNet.Threading.IterativeTask`1.<>c__DisplayClass1.b__0()
Sarkut
Garnetchan, Try running chkdsk, with the /f parameter, from the command line. chkdsk with /f parameter Then reboot the PC and install Paint.NET.
