tryingtolearnthis
I'm very new to this and am trying to do something, which to most would probably be simple. I have Image A, which I cut the center out of. I have Image B which I would like to use as a background. My end goal here is to have the background of Image B be visible through the hole I created in Image A. How would I accomplish this? For example, you have a picture of a tire, and you cut the center out. You also have a picture of water. How would you get the center of the tire to show the water image? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!!
Devvy
You might want to try putting the tire image on another layer, Then cutting out the center with the wand, then merging down. (Make sure the tire layer is the one on top)
tryingtolearnthis
Unfortunately I don't know what any of that means. If you could guide me through that process I may be able to get it. Thank you.
Sarkut
tryingtolearnthis, Open your Image B with Paint.NET. Next, in the top menu - Layers > Import from File, import your Image A. If you have already cut the center out of Image A, as you've said, then you should now have the background showing through the center. If it looks the way you want it to, in the top menu - Image > Flatten. File > Save as ... Save as PNG. If this doesn't work, then pls. post the two images here so that we can see better what is happening.
