pulpfunction
ok I'm a friggin noob get over it. I have looked and can not seem to find instructions on how to create a transparent text PNG. I am a photographer and an idiot when it comes to the whole digital manipulation thing. I am simply trying to make an image that can be pasted over my photos for copyright purposes. (mywebsite.com©). Can someone please direct me to post about this subject, I know its on here somewhere.
theratking
What you're looking for is a watermark. All you really need to worry about is to set the opacity of any text by double-clicking on the separate layer of your photo and adjusting the opacity setting low. Hope that helps
pulpfunction
ok I will be more specific. I have a smugmug account and they have a setting which allows you to upload a png file that they will then automaticly paste over all your photos. I just need to make the text file, not overlay it. theratking
Okay. Again, do whatever text you want, set its opacity low, and save as a .png.
pulpfunction
Alright I'm a complete idiot, please bear with me. When i do that, the image has a colored background. I dont want to see any background...I just want text only.
Sarkut
Open Paint.NET. Make a new layer. (transparent) Delete the white default background layer. You now have one clear layer. Apply text, reduce opacity, save as .png.
