Acestumacher
Hi everyone, I,m a novice when it comes to photoshop of any kind! so please excuse my question, I have this bmp file, its a texture for a steering wheel in the game rFactor, what I was wondering is it possible to re-do this texture and improve the quality or is it easier to make a brand new texture but still basing on the exact same size and shape? Thanks for your help. Ace.
APShredder
It would probably be easier to just redo it. You could put that steering wheel on the bottom layer, and just trace it on a new layer. Quote BlendModes Plus | Dissolve | Extract Color
Onemorelevel
If you want a better quality try sharpening or blurring, then save as a PNG Quote "Being calm can work wonders" ~My gallery~D: Iceberg Tutorial!
Acestumacher
Would anyone be willing to take a look at this bmp file, and see how much better it could be made, I,ve enclosed a download link for it, it would need to be the same shape and size. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PW7JWOQL Many thxs Ace. Acestumacher
What must be better, colours? something else? what? Anything that could produce a finer and sharper image, if it could be based on a carbon fiber look, button would need to be the same clours. Onemorelevel
It might just be how your computer handles things. Did you try saving as a png, what about blurring? Acestumacher
The game can show hi-res textures fine, here's an example of how it can be done,
