d-fader
Hi! I've been trying to find some information about this on the forum, but I only found some posts on small selections. What I'm trying to do is just simply select a block of pixels and then move them to another spot. Using the cursor keys or ctrl+cursor keys it works, but when I use the mouse, it always tries to 'scale' in stead of move, no matter where I click in or out of the selected area. Is it possible to move a selection with the mouse? Thnks!
Crazy Man Dan
With small selections, it can get tricky to not grab the nubs if you're trying to grab too near the selection. However, you can click anywhere on the canvas to pick up the selection and move it. As long as you have something selected and the cursor is still a Black Arrow (not the hand that you get when you hover over a nub), you can move the selection. This also works with rotating: you can right-click anywhere on the canvas to rotate. Hope that helps! Wow! It works Thanks! Although I have to move about 500px (edit: 500px on screen) left of the selection (I have zoomed in to 3000% or so), but it feels quite strange to have to move your mouse way out of your selection to move it, but it works and that's important! Thanks again!
