effective use of the line tool

hello, I'm currently trying the glow line effect: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=25290

but when i get to the part 'Use your Line Tool to trace it. Fix anything that doesn't look good.'

When I try to fix it, I can't seem to get the curves to follow the way I want it to be. And I cannot clean the edges to make it look like the image in the topic:

can anyone help me???????

Try to use as little lines as possible, keeping it as curvy as possible with the line tool

Make a layer, use the pencil tool, try to draw what you want

Then add another layer and trace over it, be as smooth as possible with the line tool.

Then delete the layer with pencil on it.

drawing the lines is very hard..hehehe but i got the hang of it...

Not bad

it overlaps his hand in a place or two but its not too noticible. Try one on oyourself or a picture youve taken!

I like how you didnt make it clamp to the body but all around it instead

Here's one of the best things to know about the line/curve tool: You can right click on the nodes to make it a bezier curve (i.e., really smooth). Knowing about that is a lifesaver
