I find a little bug ! <Dual monitor issue>

Recommended Posts

Where can I post bugs ? I hope that this forum is the right place for that because I didn't find any information where can I post bugs. I noticed one small but for me pretty annoying bug. Paint.NET doesn't restore main window position if two or more monitors are used and program is maximized, and of course not in all scenarios (sounds familiar ). Here is how this bug can be recreated :

1. Put Paint.Net executable shortcut to desktop or toolbar on secondary monitor

2. Start Paint.Net and maximize it on primary monitor

3. Close Paint.Net

4. Start Paint.Net again and it will be started maximized on secondary monitor

I hope that you can see how this is annoying :) If shortcut is placed on primary monitor it works all right in this scenario, but not if you wont to start it on secondary monitor, I think that Paint.Net just stores wsMaximized state of window but not monitor on which was maximized. I can workaround this, just not use maximize but since Paint.Net is part of my every day work toolset, every now or then I forget about this and maximize it and then paint.NET shows on secondary monitor, not a big deal, I know, but like I said, annoying.

btw. thanks for this wonderful software, I love it !

Perhaps you did not look close enough as there as indeed a place just for bug reporting:

I will move your topic just this once as sometimes these mishaps do happen. We would ask you to be that little more careful next time. Many thanks, Antonio Bakula.

I've also [rule=6]edited your title[/rule] to better match your report.

Somebody who can answer your report should be around shortly.
