R J Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 I want to setup Paint.net to be the default editor for my screen capture program. In many cases, I need to capture something from the screen, and highlight a portion of the image, usually a particular area containing some text that I want someone to read. Is there an easy way in Paint.net to use the "rectangle select" tool, and have the background changed to a color (like yellow) while keeping the text unchanged? Quote
Down Posted December 12, 2008 Posted December 12, 2008 Like so?: For this it was simple, as the background & text are a solid color. I just had to make a new layer, use the rectangle fill and change the blend mode in layer properties. For more complex things you might have to use selections. Hope this helps! R J Posted December 12, 2008 Author Posted December 12, 2008 Thanks a lot for the tip. That solution works perfectly. Now, maybe I can create a plug-in to automate it... Quote
