ssutton1
First I want to say thank you for the windows install cleanup tip for problem uninstalls. After re-downloading the program and attempting the setup install I received this popup error: Paint.NET Setup Front-End has encountered a problem and needs to close. blah, blah, sorry. Any ideas on how I can resolve this? Thanks!
david.atwell
Just making sure: You have tried absolutely everything - even the stuff that doesn't seem like it would apply to you! - in the "Problems with install, update or uninstall?" thread that's in all caps at the top of the Troubleshooting forum, right? I just need to make sure. Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.Amy: But how did it end up in there? The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

ssutton1
Ok, I visited Microsoft Update and after having various issues and having to contact a Microsoft Update Professional to resolve all those issues. I believe I am ready to attempt another PaintNet download. But I'm going to wait until I get the "All done" note from my Microsoft guy first. Anyone else having my issue...goto the microsoft update page and insure that you have all current updates for your system. If you don't and have problems getting them...contact Microsoft via that page. It's free...or at least it was for me and I'm not under any warranties.
