Paint.NET with hp precisionscan pro

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I would like to replace Paint Shop Pro 7 to Paint.NET. I have scanner HP 4400C (with hp precisionscan pro 3.14 software) and I noticed problem with direct scanning to external applications.

Eg. When I had installed a Paint Shop Pro 7, I could see this program on the list of hp precisionscan pro 3.14. After uninstalling of Paint Shop Pro 7 and installing of Paint.NET, I can not see Paint.NET on the list of external aplications ("Scan to" option). At present I can choose external aplications only from: MSPaint, Outlook, WordPad. I checked that no option to configure of such list in HP software - Paint Shop Pro 7 (after installed) is added automatically to this list, but Paint.NET unfortunately does not.

Could You help me?

What type of scanner is it- a WIA scanner or a TWAIN scanner? Paint.NET supports only WIA. If it is a TWAIN, you'll need to scan it into another program (such as PSP), then save it and open it in Paint.NET.

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
