Johnnyallen
I extracted the .dll file from TRsHDRish.zip and can't move the .dll file to effects. I keep getting a "can't implement" and "can't complete" message. I have Windows 10.
Johnnyallen
Here's a screenshot of the error message. FYI I've gotten this message before on an untested plugin, but I was looking forward to seeing this HDR like plugin, This is a screenshot before I click OK:
BoltBait
OK, extract the TRsHDRish.dll to your desktop, then move it into your paint.net Effects folder. Johnnyallen
BINGO! That worked. I'll remember to do that if I see that message again. HDR is now in effects/color/HDR. Thanks a bunch.
oamaysuposdtono
Hi there ! I have the same problem, but pasting from the desktop doesn’t work either. No matter what I try, nothing happen at all. Apparently all Paint.net folders are in read only, maybe that’s the cause, but I can’t disable it, they seem to always re-enable themselves. ( While I’m admin. )

Are you running the Classic (free) version of Paint.NET or are you running the Store (paid) version? Installing plugins is different based on which version you are running. oamaysuposdtono
Thanks for your answer, Edited : It works now ! I stupidly skipped a line from the documentation because I didn’t think it was useful, as I already installed effect without issue before, Well I should not have as it was the solution ^^ Windows authorizations needed to be change, then it worked ! Thanks again, sorry for that ! ___ Yes I’m using the classic version, installed; and followed that documentation. I also took another advice you gave in another topic, to firstly install some plugins through an installer, which worked fine. Also, I already installed plugins by .dll copy/past some times ago without issue… I don’t know why this time it doesn’t work. I understand it is certainly more of a windows issue than Paint.net though. Maybe I should simply start by a traditional restart of the PC !
